About
Emily Gilliatt Jewellery is handcrafted and chunky yet wearable, something to be worn in your everyday rotation but will truly make a statement. This brand was born through my personal desire to create gorgeous things by using my knowledge and understanding of metalwork.
After graduating university in 2021 with a degree in Fashion Communication and Promotion, it's here where I specialised in photography, allowing me to be shortlisted for the 2021 Graduate Fashion Week, Fashion Photography Award. Photography is something I like to keep close to my heart, for my own personal satisfaction.
I jumped straight into work and became a fully trained silversmith… (a VAST difference from the specialism I studied for three years, I know). However it made sense, in my working life I come from a background of engineering; my dad has been an engineer for 40+ years and has had no mean feat drafting me in to work from the age of 14. My parents run an extremely successful business and I am so proud of both of them; to be part of the BG Engineering cog (or should I say sprocket) has been and continues to be a pleasure.
Long story short, I have been working with tools and machinery since my early teens, setting the groundwork for my career as a silversmith. I have easily been able to transfer my hands-on skills and combine my creativity to birth Emily Gilliatt Jewellery. I love and wear every piece of jewellery I sell, things have been tried and tested before I give the go ahead to ensure that the best quality product is made, sold and dispatched.
This brand is me, and in turn I am this brand. I am immensely proud of the work I produce and I hope you love it as much as I do!
All my love,
Emily x
